Pumpkin Jack is a classic 3D Platformer before anything else! Every level will challenge you through several themed platforms, all giving you new trials to complete.
You will have to master the arts of dodging, timing and movement to vanquish Jack's foes. During the dynamic real time battles, choose which weapon you want to use and strike at the critical moment!

The peaceful Boredom Kingdom, with its happy citizens, monotonous calm… and adorable little bunnies, has sent the Devil himself into a flying rage! With dreams of turmoil, torture, and bloodshed on his mind, he unleashed the dreadful Curse of the Eternal Night upon the land. Not in love with the idea of a change in their peaceful lifestyle, the humans summon their savior — a mighty wizard with the power to put an end to the evil curse. In order to stop these party crashers from ruining his fun, the Devil summons the spirit of Jack, the Pumpkin Lord, to fight against the wizard's army of beasts and destroy the killjoy wizard! You, as Jack, will be tearing your way through fright-filled levels as you punish those who dared defy your master!

- There are a total of six levels, six skins (seven if you get the Christmas outfit), six weapons and six bosses, referencing the devil's number, "666".
- Jack's Scythe is a callback to the Billy and Mandy Halloween special.
- Apparently Jack Tricked the Devil three times, how he did so from the third is unknown.
- Some elements were scrapped from its release such as a giant spider and big skeleton enemies.
- Every time the player loses, it counts how many times you died and mock your progress.
- The game uses three classic symphonies within levels.
- Destroying a candle will actually spread when near wood, which will be impossible to proceed when on top of a tower.
- In one of the areas in the Swamp level, the player must go through a maze where the paths with the crows results in death.
- In one of the Cemetery areas, Jack's grave can be seen with a cross and candles surrounding it, the player has the option to burn it.
- A band of skeletons can be found at the start of the level.
- The North level is based on the Tim Burton film, The Nightmare Before Christmas.
- Santa's look resembles his evil counterpart Krampus.
- The Ferryman is based on Charon, a figure from Greek mythology.
