Story[]
Surviving another barrage of objects through the portal, Jack reaches the other side...
He has arrived at the Wizard's Study, a pocket dimension of his own design where he can study in peace. He explains that he couldn't unlock the power of the Amulet of Final Ember, telling Jack that unreadable line on the Tablet in the Mines said that the secret to the Amulet is a Pure Human Spirit, angered that his spirit wasn't enough. He figures, also with Jack's sarcastic suggestion, he could use Jack's free spirit, as it has no attachment to a real body, as a magical plaything.
The Prophesied Face-off[]
The Wizard starts off the battle with lightning bolts, just like when he was threatening him in The North, summoning swirling vortexes, and throwing large red volatile orbs that follow their target. These orbs can be destroyed at a distance with the Crow. The Wizard will be in the centre of the arena at all times, Jack cannot attack or even go near him since he has a vortex under his feet that protects him.
He then creates massive walls of energy with an opening in the centre, making just enough room for Jack to fit through. Failing to do so will deal substantial damage to Jack. After he survives these attacks, he calls forth some magical nodes to channel a large spell, the Pariah will have to destroy the nodes to interrupt his spell and disorient him, giving him time to land a hit on the troublesome gremlin.
After dealing a harsh blow to The Wizard, he summons more vortexes and disintegrates parts of the arena, making it more difficult for Jack to move around and avoid getting hit by the energy wall. As the fight progresses, he gets more and more angry, he did not come this far to be defeated by some rotten conman!
The Wizard puts up a great fight but he fails to defeat the Pariah of the Devil, after being dealt the killing blow, he curses Jack and the world he will now inherit. Remembering what the Wizard said before the fight about the amulet, he takes the amulet off of the Wizard's corpse to steal it's power for his own. The amulet accepts his spirit and grants him untold power. Returning to The Devil victorious, he is now free to roam the doomed world with the power to destroy it.
